2012 Dress Rehearsal

SUNY College at Old Westbury

All dancers performing in the 2012 Recital must attend the Dress Rehearsal on Friday, May 18th 2012 at SUNY Old Westbury. Dancers are expected to be ready to perform fifteen minutes before their scheduled rehearsal time - dressed in full costume, hair and make-up.  Dancers will have the opportunity to space and rehearse their routine with full sound and lighting. Please make sure all tights, shoes and accessories are purchased prior to this date.

Picture Day:

American Dance Portraits will be at the dance studio Tuesday and Wednesday, March 27th and 28th 2012 to shoot all recital photographs. All classes will be assigned to a certain day/time. At this time, dancers will have the opportunity to take part in their class photo, as well as take individual photos and one headshot. On photo day, all parents will be required to stop by the front desk to receive a photo envelope. This envelope should include a $25 deposit, and should include descriptions of all your child’s costumes. Please notate on the envelope which costume you would like your child’s headshot taken in. Picture Pick-up Day:

Monday and Tuesday April 2nd & 3rd 2012 - Times TBA: all photos will be available for viewing at The Dream Center.  All families will be assigned a day/time to come in and view their child’s photographs. Picture packages may be purchased at this time.

2011 Recital Ticket Sales: Tickets will go on sale at the studio, beginning Monday, May 16th from 4pm-8pm, and available for purchase thereafter during studio hours. At this time, each family be will able to purchase 6 tickets to their assigned show. All remaining tickets will be available for open sale Thursday, May 26th, 2011 at 4pm. Last day to purchase tickets is June 10th, 2011. No tickets will be available for purchase the day of the recital. Tickets are non-refundable.

Boosters:

Boosters for the 2011 Recital program may be purchased through the dance studio. Booster forms are available now. Contact the studio for more information. Boosters must be handed in by April 16th, 2011.

Flowers:

Flowers may be ordered through “Bayview Florist and Montage” and will be delivered directly to SUNY Old Westbury the day of the performance. Mention “Dream Center” when purchasing your flowers and receive 10% off your order (expires May 31st, 2011 at 2pm).  Call 516-799-7222 to place your order or visit them on the web:  www.bayviewflorist.com . Flowers will be available for viewing and ordering at dress rehearsal, May 21st.

Show Day:

Dancers must arrive 45 minutes prior to show time.  All dancers must have costumes, shoes and accessories clearly labeled to avoid confusion back stage.  No food will be permitted in the back stage area - water bottles only.  Video taping and flash photography is strictly prohibited during the performance. To avoid congestion, we ask that one parent come to the drop off/pick up area to pick up your child after the show.
